Apart from being the newly named and updated version of the Mercedes Benz M-Class SUV, the Mercedes Benz GLE-Class features some notable changes which make it stand out from the crowd. The 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class has been contrived with some revised styling, latest command interface and additional equipment set-up. Exterior Features
Nipped and tucked both rear and front, the improved styling and latest wheel choices assist to distance the brand new GLE-Class from the earlier M-Class. Around back, brand new LED taillights flank subtle updates to the bumper and tailgate. The standard features for the GLE 300d includes 18 inch alloy wheels, LED daytime lights and taillights, adaptive suspension dampers, power folding, and auto dimming mirrors.
Interior Features
Interior modifications are difficult to spot. The driver holds a new leather wrapped steering wheel; a bigger 8-inches infotainment display screen is readily available for 2016, and a fresh COMAND system controller debuts. The GLE-Class includes a new Mercedes Connect-Me smartphone connectivity and its services, with the optional Remote Online services available with a premium subscription. New interior trim choices and colors also debut for the superior 2016 GLE-Class.
Technology
The GLE-Class will provide an option between 2 premium audio systems, and the rear-seat entertainment system. Park-assist technologies like Active Parking Assist with Parktronic sensors and a 360-degree camera will continue.
Engine/ Fuel Efficiency
As a five passenger SUV, the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class is offered in six unique models which are differentiated by the engine selection; turbocharged GLE400, GLE 300d, GLE 350, GLE 400, AMG GLE63 and the AMG GLE 63s. The GLE-Class boasts a 3.5-liter V6 engine and a 3.0-liter 2-turbocharged V6 engine. According to EPA, the base Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class receives 18/24 mpg city/highway that’s typical for the class.
Safety
Mercedes will provide a new Driver Assistance Plus choice package including adding Steering Assist, the contents of the Driver Assistance package, Pre-Safe Brake with the Pedestrian Protection, Stop & Go Pilot, and the Cross Traffic Assist systems.
