Additionally, instead of a mist, these administer medication in the form of a powder. This method of delivery means that patients don’t have to coordinate their breath with the inhaler’s release, but it can lead to medication becoming stuck in the back of the throat.
Ultimately, finding the right inhaler comes down to choosing a device that effectively administers the medication and is easy enough for the patient to use.
